Installing and load programs... Not working

Hey

tried to install some programs today, and also run some others... But they are simply refusing the install or run.. Nothing happens.

if i keep clicking them it comes up with a box asking if the program installed correctly and if not try some settings.

No matter what i do they wont install.

help!

EDIT, also every single folder on my pc has decided to become read only... WTF

Virus / malware? You tried resetting the .exe settings in the registry? MS guide to fix it It was pretty common a while back for virus (malware w/e) to break this.

yea tried that, all failed. Then i noticed that windows took forever to open new windows... So decided i CBA messing with it and going back to windows 7 for now.

Windows 8 have been nothing but trouble these past few weeks.
