Installing BF3/Origin Advice

I've bought BF3 retail version and would like some advice on installing BF3 & Origin please.

1) Is Origin safe? What's this I've read about Origin collecting data?

2) What's the best way to install, I've got a SSD as boot drive and HDD as a Data drive. Read its best to have BF3 installed on the SSD. Can I install Origin on the HDD and BF3 on the SSD?

1. Do you use Steam? Origin collects no more data than Steam.
2. I have Origin and all my Origin games on my HD, apart from BF3, which is on my SSD. I did this with ease using steammover.

Only thing I would chip in is, think about your Origin ID as it will be your player name in BF.

If you ever want to change your ID.

Unless you decide to change your Origin ID again

Installed Origin to my HDD and it automatically created the following folder on my SSD C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games.
BF3 is being installed in this folder so I won't have to move it!
