i was thinking of installing bootcamp on my macbbok pro.

about 4 weeks ago i purchased a dell studio 17 laptop that came wit hthe OEM install of vista HP. i've seen a guy on youtube use the dell oem cd to bootcamp his macbook, and i was wondering if i could do the same, or is the dell cd strictly for dells

Recovery disks are only for the manufacturer's machines that they are supplied with. They usually check for the BIOS or motherboard I believe to determine that. Also, BootCamp is already installed on your MacBook, it's basically a wizard that lets you easily partition and install Windows on your MacBook. It's very simple to use, however I would suggest that you purchase a retail version of Windows, not an OEM copy, OR you could download Windows 7 RC if you're strapped for cash, but note from March onwards it will shut down every 2 hours until you upgrade to a full version of it. :)
