Probably been asked a million times already but which ATi drivers do i need for Crossfire? Do i just need the software Suite package or do i need the ATI Catalyst Application Profiles aswel?

Also once the 2 cards are in will it pick up in CCC and give me an option to enable crossfire?

The CCC Software Suite is all you "need". The CAPs are just updated profiles for games/fixes that have come out since the last driver release.

Once you have CCC installed, and two cards connected by a bridge, you should get CrossfireX appear down the left hand side in the CCC.
 
It is very much recommended to install the CAPs as well, simply because they'll give the drivers the most relevant profiles for games that are Crossfire-supported. Once you've installed Catalyst 11.6, just grab 11.6 CAP2. It's half a meg to download and takes about ten seconds to install, so it's not much hassle.

And yes, when the cards are slotted in and have the Crossfire bridge connected between them, they'll be picked up by the drivers and you can enable/disable it in the driver controls.
 
Do i need to uninstall my current drivers then and then re-install the suite again to pick up both cards?
 
So no need to uninstall existing drivers. Just plug in the new card and appropriate connections. Power it up and install the 11.6 drivers, enable crossfire in CCC and away we go?
 
Sorry my bad :p. Getting the ocuk CDC one next week to go with my reference card.

You can mix and match reference and non reference cards right?

I had to uninstall and reinstall CCC for crossfire to be enabled properly when I added a 2nd card.

Assuming you're doing the same, might be an idea to try it if you don't get success the 1st time.
 
Thanks man, I'll keep that in mind. Can't wait to get this!! I'm eager for higher fps and max settings!!
