Installing dishwasher / existing washing machine

Hope someone here can advise!

About to buy a dishwasher which will be next to an existing washing machine - there is 1 cold water tap, and a draining pipe on the floor - both currently used by the washing machine.

Is it a simple task of just adding a Y pipe / connector to the outlet? It looks like a second hose for draining should fit next to the existing one for the washing machine so that part shouldn't be a problem

Installed a dishwasher and washing machine before - but they were in both cases not next to each other, and everything was already in place.

Thanks in advance - below picture of the draining pipe / tap if that makes any difference.

Can you not plumb them in under the sink, you water feeds and waste are usually there.

Nope, unfortunately not. This is just next to the kitchen with a wall in between and there's no space for a dishwasher there , this is the only place.

You will have to split the water feed then, it will be fine.

Is there anything similar available for the outlet in case both pipes don't fit in next to each other?

Yeah you can get similar for the waste connection.

What you need to be careful of is each appliance pumping water out into the other.

I won't be using both appliances at the same time - as I only have one plug point there (currently split to washing machine/drier)
