Installing heatsink

Just got the OC'd i7 920 @ 4Ghz bundle off OCUK and the temps are way too high under stress - 75+ deg C. I installed the Titan heatsink with the Titan thermal compound as the Arctic SIlver 5 which was intended to be delivered never came, I doubt the temps are so high because of the difference in thermal compound but I can't work out any other reason, any ideas?

Temps seem a little high, I had mine up to 70c with the Thermalright Ultra.

How high is considered dangerous?

71c here on highest core when running p95, LinX tends to hit 76c, also using a TRUE thats been lapped, have you checked that the cooler is mounted securely, temp wise my personal limit is below 80c for stress testing.

I'll have another go at setting the heatsink, just did another stress test and it was going up to 82c
