Installing m.2 nvme stops booting

Hey all, I'm really stuck on this. Brand new build. I currently have a samsung 860 evo in my m.2 sata port with windows 10 installed. As soon as I plug in a samsung 970 evo 1tb into the m.2 nvme port then I get nothing on the screen. Bios won't recognise the 2.80 update so is currently on 2.70.

The only information that should matter is the drives and the motherboard.
