I currently have Windows 7 on a SSD and I have installed 2 new SSD's which I want to Raid0 together and use as a single data drive whilst keeping the original Windows drive as it is.

When I change SATA mode to RAID in the bios I am no longer able to boot from the windows drive.

Is there a way I can change the setting to RAID in the BIOS, create the new Raid0 drive with the 2 new SSD's whilst keeping my current windows drive as it is?

Thanks

Using Asus P8Z68-V/GEN3

Thanks for reply.

Ive just tried that and returned to the BIOS and switched to RAID mode and still doesnt boot.

I get the error "Restart and then Select a bootable device" even though the Windows drive is selected as the bootable drive in the BIOS.

One thing I havent done (when in RAID mode) is configured anything in the RAID setup utility (i was going to set up the RAID0 after I confirm windows still works!). Is there a way to set it as bootable in there WITHOUT deleting the data?
