Installing SSD on ICH10R

Hi,

I currently have 3 x 1TB Samsung Spinpoints in RAID0 on the Intel controller, so it is obviously set to RAID, not AHCI

However, i also want to use my new Intel X25-M 160GB SSD on the intel controller as well, will it still use AHCI (for max performance) or by setting it to raid will it not be able to use AHCI?

ICH10R - when set to raid mode - will use AHCI for single drives

Raid is just an extension of AHCI, so having it set to either raid or AHCI will work.

also make sure to install the latest intel drivers for the controller as well, this will enable trim while its set to raid
