i currently have a samsung nc10

has anyone removed their 160gb hdd and replaced it with an SSD before?

if so which one did you buy and what gains were there?

and does the netbook support SATA2 so it runs the SSD at full speed?

thanks for now :D

SSD will perform faster and saving battery but SSD is also expensive as well. you will notice the different between HDD and SSD.

I did mine a couple of days ago. Got a 30GB Vertex in a Compaq Mini 311c. Was a piece of cake to install. It's sooooo much more snappy and responsive now. I was umming and ahhing about whether or not to do it because of the cost of the SSD, but I'm loving it. Windows 7 loads in about 25 seconds after carrying out a load of tweaks (30-35 seconds including bios POST). I've got some benchmarks but not handy, I'll post them up for you later if you want.
