Installing SSD without cage (for now)?

I've just taken delivery of and installed my new Crucial M4 SSD. Thing is I stupidly forgot to get a proper bay for it to rest in. I've ordered one but it won't get here until the new year and I couldn't resist the urge to install the SSD anyway.

I've plugged it in and left it resting at the bottom of my case, next to the PSU. My question is, is this okay to do, just until my bay comes? There's no reason why doing this would cause any damage, is there?

I'm currently installing Windows 7 and it seems to be working fine.

No moving parts so even if ur case IS moved a bit it's not going to effect anything. You could get a decent size bit of velcro, stick it to the floor of the case forever if you wanted :)

Plan to rebuild my PC this weekend after getting a new PSU. Going to hide the SSD somewhere to free up a conventional drive bay for another HD

As above really, I was doing this for ages until I bought my new case which had 2.5" mounts in it. The cages are pretty expensive to buy on their own as well!
