Alright everyone, basically having another problem installing windows 7 onto another HDD, it's giving me the "select driver to be installed screen" then you get the options browse and rescan. I suppose a lot of people would have got past his many times but Im having a hard time with it.

What can I do to fix this? Replies would be great, thanks a lot.

I'm assuming the problem is to do with drivers for the SATA controller here since you give zero information.

Check the manual for your motherboard. Make sure you connect the HDD to the Intel/AMD SATA sockets. You almost never need 'extra drivers' for the native controllers. The plastic housing is usually a different colour.

Or you could insert the CD you got with your motherboard and install the drivers.

95% of the time, you can supply the drivers found on the motherboard manufacturer's site. What make and model motherboard do you have?

Basically tried using this for my laptop now, the laptop is a toshiba c660 if anyone knows how to fix this much appreciated.

Will this deffo work mate? Have you tried this?
Yes I am quite sure they will work - the drivers on Toshiba's website indicate that the laptop uses an Intel chipset. For some reason, I was not able to locate the SATA installation drivers, so took them from Intel's website.

I have done this in the past, even when Windows picks up the drives - just so I know the latest SATA drivers are being used. The worst that can happen is the installer will tell you it can't find any devices that match the drivers.

I put some drivers on a USB before and it would not let me click the drop down on the browse menu thing it gives you so nothing showed up hopefully this will help, will tell you how I get on, cheers.

If you extract the files to the USB stick from the ZIP which you downloaded from my previous link, you should be fine unless the installer can't see your stick. Make sure you choose the right drivers - 32 or 64-bit.

I put all that on my USB, still no luck, it recognizes my USB but I cannot click the drop down plus sign. Not sure what to do now?

Tried it just then, it recognized the driver, i tried clicking next, went to go through asked the same question, drivers again and done nothing.
