Installing windows on new PC

What will the speed difference be (and any other differences) between 32 and 64 bit versions of XP on a Core Duo PC? I don't have a copy of 64 bit XP, but will purchase if it's a significant improvement, or there are issues staying on 32 bit.

Plus if you ever get an iPod Touch/iPhone you'll be wishing you went with 32-bit.

I'd go with the 64-bit edition. You're covered in case you ever upgrade to 4GB RAM, and also you're future proofed for new software.

If you get the 32-bit version you're just going to end up having to upgrade it again later.
