Installing windows

Hi,

When i try to install windows (within the blue screen) it crashes to a blue screen and says:

"The error seem to be caused by the following file: serenum.sys"

What could be the prolem?

I haven't read through but perhaps disable serial devices in the BIOS in the meantime.

Googled it and fond someone said it was due to ram, running memtest86 right now, will gt back tiwth results.

Usually on an install it is Ram with copying probs, but also make sure CD is clean, if you have two sticks of Ram, take one out and try install, if that doesnt work, swap stick and try another install.
