Just a quickie, had a sudden realisation that things may not go as smooth as I'm hoping...

MacBook Pro arriving in a few weeks, Parallels already here on my desk.

My current Windows7 Laptop will become redundant and restored back to it's factory state Vista.

When I come to install Windows7 within the Parallels environment, will it cause a problem by saying it's already been installed on a previous system that doesn't match the hardware of the Laptop? (or something like that, whatever Microsoft do to protect it)

(apologies if this isn't 'technically' the correct forum, just thought someone here may have gone through exactly what I have)

As long as you have a retail copy of Windows 7, which most people do, then you shouldn't have any problem. It's only the OEM versions which get locked to specific hardware.

Question is probably more suited to the Windows forum though tbh.
