installing xbox games

I'm cutting my games collection considerably (only keeping FM3, COD:WAW and GH) so I might as well install them now I guess :)

I install all the games I have. I do have a 120GB HDD on my 360 so space isn't a problem. It made a hell of a difference on Mass Effect, jumping to different systems took an ice age but after installing the game it takes about 5 seconds.

Rather than start a new thread a quick question. Two of my mates share a flat and 360, possibly a stupid question but can they just install the games once and it work for both gamertags or is the install locked to each profile.

As long as you're connected to Live it should work.

My brother played Forza 3 on my Xbox with his GT and bought a car, when he got home to play it on his own Xbox it told him he needed to install the disk.

So it worked as it was installed on my GT, then played with his GT.

I install all my games, it takes 5-15 minutes at the most to install something but its worth it, speeds your loading times up a little and makes the Xbox a whole lot quieter!! its worth it just for that alone if you ask me.

The games installed to HDD have no digital rights management - they work for every gamertag that is created on that Xbox 360. As long as you have the disc, anyone that uses that console can play it.

Yea, I don't like the sound of the DVD-drive 'crunching' away

Install all my frequently used games, changing as needed

Always - and I'm very happy to see that Crackdown has had a patch which now allows it to be installed, too. That game used to thrash the DVD drive to buggery.

Great if it's true, that game made me worried to play it, I always thought the thing was going to explode!
