Hi,
I am currently putting together a new rig.E6600 on Asus Striker Extreme mobo with Zalman cnp9700 LED cooler.
The configuration of the "s" clip requires a firm amount of pressure to be applied in order to insert the securing screws.
I am worried that this amount of pressure may damage the processor.
Can anyone give me any advice? It would be appreciated.

dont screw the first screw in all the way just do it a tiny bit just so it holds then screw the other side in should give a little more leeway for the screw on the other side.

You'd actually be suprised on how strong CPU's are. I installed mine without many problems. As the poster above said, only screw it in, in order for you to screw the other side in.
