Instant Messaging Help

My girlfriend and I used to use webmsn through hotmail to talk with eachother everyday as Im working abroad at the moment. Work has decided to block webmsn, gmail chat and other related IM services.
Are there any other programs or alternatives that we could use to keep in touch? Im sure I'll be breaking an ICT rule in work but I dont really care. Does anyone have any advice? Thanks

No, I work at a gas plant so we have no mobiles, no personal laptops etc. Its such a PITA and now theyve taken the one good thing we had away.

Just had a thought. If the ICT at work has blocked the MSN servers then it wont matter what program I use does it?

If you have access to your hotmail account, you can chat directly from the web page

I do have access to my hotmail account, but the MSN part of my hotmail account has the message " Messenger isnt available now" displayed, so ICT have blocked something to stop it working. Same with Gmail Chat..."chat is disabled". Anyways I'll give it a go tomorrow and see if I have any luck
