Ok, so about 6 weeks ago i was traveling home from a day out shopping and about 20 miles from home i planned on going straight on at a roundabout, i was travelling in the middle lane, and was pushed over to the right lane, this is where the accident occured.
The left and middle lane are signposted straight on, and the middle and right are to take a right turn, although i feel you should really only use the right lane to turn right due to the road markings, this is debatable.
So in the middle lane in busy traffic on a sunday evening, and the car on my right tries to push me over into the furtherest left lane, i had no idea what he was planning on doing then he turns left, cuts me up, and drives into my rear passanger door. This send my car nearly around 360 degrees (i assume he was speeding) and his car contines as normal till he pulls in. I get out of the car to him and he has damage on the front wheel arch, and i have a dented rear passanger door. We exchange details (name and phone number) then a whitness comes over and gives us both his name and adress (no phone number).
I said it was best we talked about it first before insurance as damage is minimum and blame is unknown, but he rings me 30 minutes later to tell me he has reported to his insurance blamming me. So i then phone my insurance broker on the sunday evening and let them know whats happened, this is an out of hours service, they ring me back later the next day to go over details and im given a reference.
I then went through a stage of her insurance company leaving me messages saying that i've not reported the claim and my broker know nothing of it. SO i phoned my broker three weeks ago and reported it to them as they know nothing of it. I was told they would phone me back the next day but never did, and it takes nearly an hour to get through to them so i just left it as i work all day and cannot find the time.
Nothing has been said i havent been called back to give witness details etc or report it in details, i've never been sent anything in the post, or his insurance company havent phoned me for 3 weeks, i'm guessing they've already got in touch with the witness, i haven't as i have no phone number for him.
My insurance is 3rd party and im scrapping my car this year, so im not bothered about repairs, but i do want to keep my no claims bonus,
Whats best for me to do? Im not sure who was at fault or what the witness said,
Please advice me what to do next, thankyou for taking the time to read this.
