Seeing as everyone is having a moan these days about insurance I thought I would add my renewal that I got today.

Subaru went down £300ish to below £1k and the Peugeot went up well over £200 to over £600 meaning that in total its cheaper than last years total, but not by much.

Time to shop around - don't think I will get the Subaru cheaper, but I think the Peugeot is way too high!

I guess performance car + extra years age = cheaper but normal car goes with the trend this year and has gone up!

My insurance has dropped by about £80 this year, and that's my renewal through Direct Line! means my monthly payment is less than £50 for the first time which can't be bad!

Paid £180 to insure the 306 last year (lots of mods all declared) so I'm actually looking forward to this years quote!

Last renewal on my 200 was about £750, glad I got rid of it as my renewal this year is coming in at around £850, even though an extra years NCB on there.

My quote with CCI that arrived in the post yesterday has dropped by about £200 since last year. Good starting point for negotiations.

My renewal last year before my ban was £570 (down from £1k) however I stored the car and cancelled the insurance. With my drink driving ban declared this year I got my insurance for £1k with coilovers, wheels and an air filter declared. So back to square one really. 25, 4 years no claims and no accidents to declare thought Adrian Flux.

I could have got it for £873 from Greenlight using the same uinderwriter as Flux, however they a) wouldn't insure me with no MOT. Fine, OK, day cover is no problem to get to the MOT and it still works out £100 or so cheaper but b) They would not accept for me to pay monthly as I had been uninsured for a period of time, despite me being with them up to renewal before my ban and having a damn good reason not to bother insuring my car. Their loss I suppose, I'd sooner pay £150 to someone who wants my business plus I couldn't be arsed with the faffing about.

£1500 down to £800 with a fault claim, Im not complaining!

Long story as to why i was paying 1.5k in the first place though :(

Mine went down but I called to jagged and got £™90 off the renewal but I said I wanted to add bonus protection which was £70 extra. So pretty pleased but I have been with admiral for like 8-10 years now and have 5 years ncb now.

Mine has gone up from £1100 to £1500, but if I put my brothers postcode in 5 miles down the road I get quoted £950 yet imo I live in a lower crime rate area than he does

Mine went up by about £100, but I did declare quite a few mods, and I went from a 10 month policy to a 12 month policy, with better cover, and less excess. All good :)

Mine stayed the same (in the end), didn't stop them trying to ask me for £600 more though. And would have been £200 cheaper had I not had someone drive into the back of me, and give me a nice little non-fault accident to declare for the next 3-5 years!

not done my renewal yet but I've been doing some oneline quotes.
Last year was 1400 for 10months fastrack thingy to gain a NCB.
This year quotes are coming back at around 770 for 12months :)

hopefully will stay like this come my renewal date
1.8 TDCI 53plate Focus, Parked on driveway (not in garage at the advice of some nice wifey at elephant which app costs more), still looking at getting shot of it ASAP

My insurance has never gone up drastically, but this year I thought it was a bit much. £900 fully comp on the E92 M3, 29 years old with 2 years no claims in a good postcode. Thought it would be less than that.
