Have just been kind of mugged on th street for 300 quid. They grabbed the money out my hand then threw a bag at me which did not contain two laptops. It is effectivly getting mugged do you think i will be able to claim this on insurance??

If anyone wanted to meet me on the street, and not at their home address I'd have been very cautious tbh. Gumtree perchance?

So you went to buy two laptops off a shady bloke on the street and paid in cash, then got ripped off...?

Just phone your insurers special retard hotline. They'll enjoy a laugh as well.

Let me guess... the laptop bags contained something like a bottle of water?

I very much doubt your insurance will pay out. Report it to the police though, these scams are common and they might have an idea of who it is.

Sounds like you arranged to meet them, correct?

Otherwise randomly coming across people on the street who steal your money then throw bags that don't contain laptops at you is a new one on me :)

edit: well the stealing money isn't new but the throwing bags not containing *insert random item here* is new :)

Why did you have your money out without even seeing the laptops?

Not much you can do and it's your own fault for being a silly boy.

not really, you got the money out to give to them.
not that you want to hear now but your stupidity and greed got the better of you. take something away from it as a lesson learnt

i saw the laptops was standing outside the car counting money and they grabbed it out my hand then sped off , so technically i was muggged

So what was their number plate? Or did you not get that?

LOL, at counting the money right infront of them while they're in a car with the laptops and the engine running!
