Since I’m not going anywhere at the moment, we have 3 cars at this house and my insurance renewal was at the end of May, I decided to SORN it and leave it in the garage for a while due to it not being anything special. However the insurance lapsed on the 21st of May but it’s still showing as insured on the MID. Whenever I’ve used it to check on things before it’s usually only taken a few days to update so a whole month later seems a bit strange.
I’m wondering if this just means they’ve forgotten to update the MID or if perhaps something more sinister is going on like perhaps there’s a second policy taken out by someone else that I’m not aware of. Should I be investigating this further somehow before taking out a new policy? If so then who would I get in touch with? Or am I just being overly paranoid for no reason?
