Hi, right it's about NCB,

If I was to change companies now would building up for my NCB still count?

Eg: I have 9 months NCB with company 'x' atm if I was to change to company 'y' would i still get my 2nd years NCB come 12 months? Or do I have to stick with one company?

I'm getting a mixed bag of answers from different people?

Have I just bought my banger for no reason? (Nissan Micra :D:D, Pics later)

thanks,

Edit: Sorry could you move to motors :o

i already have 1 years ncb and 9 months.

so if i swapped then I wouldn't start at 9 months it would go back to 0?

that's what I though but how pants is that!! Surely it should carry on and be based on the time without a claim!

Can you point me to a source so I have some hard evidence :p

thanks.

timbob that's the situation i'm in.

My current insurer won't let me insure the car I want. So I've just bought a micra for £70 i will keep that on the drive with my current insurer until renewal.

Meanwhile i'm thinking of taking up short term insurance with the other car (the one i'm planning to buy) untill i have my 2nd years NCB and then I can insure it properly.
