I just installed the mod. Basically I downloaded a rar file and extracted it to steams' directory I then installed the 1.1 patch.

Just fired up for the very first time and I see this:

Seems like one block-tastic game! What have I done wrong? :o

looks alrite to me :D

just restart the game normally fix's that. If not reinstall the mod also check to see if HL2 or CSS runs normally without the purple-ness

I get that sometimes in CSS, exiting the game and opening again fixes it
Nope, it's not like CSS which usually occurs when a map load is corrupt, this seems permanently damaged.

I'v tried a re-install and nothing. Did I install it properly?

Dont think theres any special way to install it, just go through the exe routine. Seems to me theres a graphic driver issue somewhere there.

Indeed, check your graphics options such as AA, mipmapping, blah blah, etc and see if dropping them down or turning them off makes a difference?

Enable the console and pull it down just after map load. It looks like your texture files are corrupt or in the wrong place. The console will throw up any errors if it cant find the textures and source defaults to a dev texture when this happens hence the purple blocks :D

Not sure what the directory should be for the map files and i cant check as im not at home right now but will check later.

I actually quite like it, looks trippy, would go well with a Miles Davis soundtrack. Also vaguely reminds me of early-90s games like Operation Wolf. Are there any games about that deliberately look like that?
