I drive a 1.4 Clio TPTT. I was considering getting a 20v Turbo Fiat Coupe however its too expensive to insurane considering I have no claims. Would it be wise to get comprehensive on my clio and have the Fiat under my dad's name which will allow me to drive it? Or is this a bad idea?

Bad idea, first of all you may not even get DOC cover on your policy through comprehensive insurance.

Also you'd only be TP on the coupe if you did, and if your were the main driver you'd be comitting an offense.

If you only plan to drive the Fiat at the weekends and your dad will be driving it during the week, then it's perfectly fine to have it insured in your dads name wityh you as a named driver on his policy.
If you are going to be the only driver and you plan to use the car more than your dad, then you will need to inform the insurance company that you will be the main driver which will either mean they'll insist the policy is in your name or they will keep the policy in your dads name but just hike up the price to match if it were in your name.

If you are going to be the main driver and can't afford to insure it as such, you'll just have to wait until you can afford it.
