Intake or Exhaust CFM's and LED connection

There's a whole list of things that were done wrong or badly and I have had to put it all right myself. Just about got it cracked now though.

I have to ask if you have taken some sample temperature recording, before and after you changed things around?

Otherwise, how will you know?

A lot of the time that which works best is done, there are no real hard and fast rules when results speak for themselves!

I did think about asking you this question but didn't want to go negative as these are all issues that can be resolved ...

I did mean to say in the HDD cage were the 2 3.5" drives are can you move the middle one up a slot so you have a drive then a gap then a drive etc this will help with drive temps and also let air move around the drives better :)

I have 1080 worth of rad, that's 9 fans already :-)
1 is cooling hdd cage, 3 are cooling bottom of the case.
4 are intakes pushing air in front and one 140 is in the back as exhaust.
So 18 total :-)
But S8 with pedestal is a monster, it's like putting 2 900D's next to each other.
Haha, and I was considering adding 9 more for push/pull on rads.
But after there was no need.
My loop never heats up above 40 C.

I didn't do any temp monitoring before changing things around. You're absolutely right in what you are saying, it may well have worked OK as it was but I was only going off my own knowledge and general consensus from reading around the web, plus the common sense that heat rises. I haven't put it under any major load yet but when setting up and installing all the software and Windoze updates etc CPU temp is sitting at around 39C according to the Rog controller.

Sorry, yes, I did move the HDD to give clearance between the two, again due to these pics being taken before I did it this shows how they were originally fitted.

Bart, the manufacturers and retailers must love you, keeping them all in business singlehanded :D

The rig is now all up and running with just some minor fixes required and a few tests to carry out but all is looking well at this point. The bay res pump is a little noisy but there are no leaks or air locks in the loop and I expect the pump will quieten down.

I had a scan through the bios and motherboard settings for the rampage black edition mobo, Rog software etc and it is pretty complex stuff compared to your average joe mobo. Some might say total overkill and far too many options and settings. There are probably a few of the included softwares that I will never use, so I'll uninstall as they just clutter the desktop and take up space, I like a minimal and tidy desktop.

Going to have fun learning how to use all the features and playing with overclocking and all. Need my new Corsair M45 mouse, which I'll get on Tuesday, my DX Racer chair is due to ship on Wednesday too, Acer 4K monitor due on 5th September according OCUK, so hopefully I can start getting some game time in soon.

I am temporarily using a new ASUS Sonicmaster ultra wide monitor until my 4k arrives and I have to say the ASUS is a great monitor, the IPS panel thankfully has virtually zero glow, light bleed etc when properly calibrated and picture quality, colour, black levels are all excellent. If all these ASUS IPS panels are like this then I would highly recommend them to anyone!

Music studio is almost all set up, this was the priority reason for me buying this rig. Just finishing off plugging in all the cabling, then I have the acoustic treatment to do around the room and I'll be ready to rock.
