Integra Type R?

I still feel that you cannot call a car that still have things like carpets etc as stripped out. I would say the meaning of the word is that you have taken out everything that you can get away with and the car can still do basic functions.

Is a Porsche 911 GT3 RS stripped out? Is a BMW M3 CSL stripped out?

Under your logic, no, but here we have two cars where a RADIO is an optional extra..

And I still think that they are not stripped out. Shall we agree to disagree on this one? Don't seem to be getting anywhere except for taking this thread off topic. :)

I actually find the GT3RS reasonably luxurious. But I do drive a car without carpets.

Which was basically my entire point when I suggested different people have different perceptions of stripped out :p

I have had my DC2 for about 8 months now and i love it too bits. But like said if your the sort of driver who does cruise at like 40mph then it is going to be annoying more than anything tbh.

The car its stripped out but only to a certain level. There is no sound deadning up front (although there is carpets) so the engine is quite loud from the front of the car. depending on model also a lot of the Jdm style ones will have no ABS no aircon and also the chance of no clock. I also removed the power steering from mine to produce more feel.

It is a car though that you will need to test drive first......some like it but some dont.

Have mine sitting on D2 coilovers with a spring rate of 10 on the front and 7 on the back so its also quite stiff but handles like a dream

I should also point out that, dampers start to get worn at about 60-80k, depending on the type of life its had.

New dampers cost £1200+fitting from Honda :p

Hence the reason many go for other stuff, but to be honest I'm happy with the standard stuff.

When that happens you invest in some quality D2 full coilovers. :)

Had mine for 3 years before getting rid last month.
Its a car for a blat around B-road twisties where you like to feel part of the adventure. You like to work the gearbox and get a big grin from the fact that you got the corner entry and exit spot on and the revs just right. You like to feel every bit of the road through the steering and through your backside. You want the car to tell you just how much more speed you can go through that corner at.

Its not for motorway or dual carriageway cruising. Its not for out dragging people at the traffic lights (though will happily take on most of the GTi sect in a straight line and hold its own). Its not for someone expecting gadgets galour. Its not something that a lot of your friends will "get"

If you want the top paragraph then the car is for you. If you want the second pararaph then look elsewhere really.

Its a car you either love with a passion or just "dont get it".

All IMO ;)

Should add that the only reason mine has gone is I cannot justify keeping it for the couple of days I can get out in it and have fun.
