We are in the process of buying a property where I'd like to convert the integral garage into a bathroom and office. There is a bathroom over the garage and the soil stack comes down through the garage internally on the external wall. What would be the usual approach here, simply box it in and live with it, or is it feasible to relocate it on the external side of the property?

Thanks as always

I guess its entirely up to you, its obviously a lot more work to make it an external stack vs just boxing it in.
Although if adding windows and flooring etc I'm sure it won't really add to the cost for the builder to move it whilst doing the rest of the work.

Can you see any of the stack externally before it goes to ground ?

No its all internal, and looking at photos it is also boxed in within the upstairs bathroom with a vent coming through the roof. Will see what neighbours have done with there conversions
