integrated gpu

hi just wondering if a motherboard with no integrated or discrete gpu would work just for surfing the net and watching videos?

if the mobo had no integrated you'd need to add a graphics card, discrete is fine for most day to day things

You need to have some sort of GPU intergrated or discrete or else you have no way of outputting video to your screen...Either is generally fine for SD video but you need a little power for blu-ray/HD video.

some of the newer boards that have the hd 4200+ igp are rather quite powerful .

they can old there own on hd/blueray and some lightgaming (source engine )

just to even see windows gui you need some sort of gpu on the pc.

yeah my laptop has the 4200 and in can play on 720p

and some oldish games on med-high
