Integrating a gallery

Just a quick question. My website has been up for a few weeks, mostly working as it should (using a non-standard font for the header bit though, I'll need to change that) but I'm not too sure about the way I've got my Photos page setup. It's just a list of 72 photos in alphabetical order going down a page...not the most interesting thing, plus it takes a while for all the thumbnails to load up. I've had a look at gallery software, but I haven't seen any I could integrate into the page, while still keeping the layout the way it is. Is it possible, or should I just create several subsections of 'Photos' for different categories of picture? The link to the photos page is in my sig, if anyone would care to check it. I'd also welcome any other random comments about the page, I'm sure there are crazy things going on I haven't picked up on yet. :)

I feel that the latter would be the easiest option, but as I said to one of my friends last week, if I get a choice between doing something the easy way, or dragging myself backwards through Hell to do it, here I come Hell! :p

Thanks
tTz

What you coding in?

I myself am just starting to play about with web stuff as I have been predominantly a desktop app developer and would like to expand my horizons. Been looking to create myself a blogging/Gallery type site and have been having a look at Microsofts ASP.NET Templates, one of which comes with a not too shabby gallery feature. Here's an example using there modified Personal Website template which I have been having a play about with as it has some good examples on theming, role/membership, master pages etc.

There's a good little community going for it with a lot of non developers building sites from it so it could be something worth considering especially if your interested in ASP.NET

I totally forgot about this thread. :o

The site is a bit of a mish-mash of languages. My friend did most of the initial coding, and I adapted it to suit the layout I wanted. The template was CSS, my friend put the whole site into PHP, and there's plenty HTML in there too. I'm not really bothered about how to do the gallery, just as long as it works. I tried some software, but couldn't get anything to integrate properly (though I'm a walking disaster when it comes to coding...).
