Intel 4770k Retail ONLY £239.99 Inc. VAT!!!

I went from a i7 920 @ 4.2Ghz to a 4770k which I currently have clocked at 4.5GHz. In terms of actual performance increase it's nice to have Sata III and USB 3.0 but that's about it. Games feel smoother with the 4770K but that's because it's paired with 2 7950s whereas the 920 had a single 7850. If you can do a cheapish upgrade it's worth doing for the newer technologies but if it will cost you a fortune I'd not bother.

Yeah, I'd be looking at over 360 pounds to upgrade so I don't think it'll be really worth it value wise.

Might just buy a new case and slowly start building up a whole new computer over time instead, rather than thinking about replacing the cpu and motherboard in my current setup.
