intel 510 or vertex 3 on socket 775 system

Are there any issues with running any of the above drives on my Gigabyte GA-EP45-Extreme motherboard?

I appreciate the drives will not be running to their top speeds and what have you, but with hard drives I tend to keep them a long time so would rather buy something that is semi-future proof, I am in the process of moving to Sandybridge - slowly, or would last gen SSD be the best move?

Either would perform fine on your mobo but it would perform a lot better on a sata3 6GB mobo.
