In two minds to buy one or not as the four fold speed increase looks tempting bbut it's a whole lot of money.

Has anyone used/had one they could advise?

Assuming your board can support it you could get nearly the same speed by getting a samsung sm951 nvme (and adapter if needed) while saving a considerable amount of money if you go for the smaller drives. Do you actually need the minimum of 400GB from intel or you could you manage with say the 256GB (I wouldn't get the 128GB) samsung.
