Hey guys, just a quick question about this because I seem to be having a problem whereby I can't actually switch this off on this board, even though it is disabled in the BIOS?

EIST and C1E are both disabled so in theory the board should stay at 9x with 380FSB (E6600). Obviously because SpeedStep drops the multi when the processor isn't under load, the multiplier drops back to 6x.

Any ideas for a fix? Tried a range of BIOSes but without any luck. Problem with the board perhaps? Only noticed it the other day when I had reinstalled Windows and used CPU-Z.

Cheers guys :)

Could never figure it out with my bad axe 1 and later with my 2, theres nothing in the advanced options when the solder pads are joined either. Apparently the early Bad Axe one Bioses allowed for this but i've tried that with no luck either so it may not be possible.

Cheers guys, I wasn't aware that it couldn't be switched off even though there is an option to disable it?

Very odd.
