I have noticed that using a 6 core cpu generates lower GFlops in Intel Burn Test than the 4 core variant. Why is this?
i7 2600K(16Gb DDR3 1600Mhz) @ 4.3Ghz = 99Gflops
i7 990(24Gb DDR3 1600Mhz) @ 4.3Ghz = 60Gflops
i7-3960x(32Gb DDR3 1600Mhz) @ 4.7Ghz = 87Gflops
Possibly memory increase causing slower results?
