Nobody in this forum should be defending this statement. It makes no sense for the community to even consider a world without a way of directly comparing two products side by side in a number of common workloads. Games, application, whatever. I don't care how it makes me feel, it feels good holding a massive cpu but if that cpu is total junk im going to feel jipped. Do you think my wife cares what CPU is in the machine she is using for her zoom call? Hell no she doesn't. It's not about who is 10% faster here or there or even who is 100% faster here or there, it isn't about Intel vs AMD. This is a clearly delusional man trying to use a pandemic to try and push an agenda for a company, everybody knows he should have taken it like a man, stood up and said "You know what, this junk isn't good enough anymore. We get it and we will make good products again! before actually delivering some good ****"
What you were looking at was a desperate man without an answer. You can bet your arse that if the tables were turned they would be shouting from the rooftops the legitimacy of benchmarks. Instead a product that can be pretty much scientifically tested now needs to meet some fluffy metric about how it makes me feel?
