Intel chipset drivers

Intel's Chipset drivers don't tend to actually install drivers, just names the devices differently. You're fine with the W7 built in ones.

You are correct the installation does not install drivers by default. However you can install the drivers if you require by using the available command line
flag options that are available, such as the examples below.
More of the installation details can be found in the included readme file within the driver package.

examples

-OVERIDE
Updates the storage drivers even if a third
party storage driver is currently installed.
This flag works in Interactive Mode only.

-OVERWRITE
Ignores the overwrite warning dialog when
installing an older version of the software.
