also because the tuniq is mounted that way i can get a new northbridge cooler on, which will be getting blown on by the tuniq fan

still thought a 2.4 in a core 2 duo is better than a amd3200 thought yea? also it seems that setup will take 667 ram, but i can get the 800 cheap, will the pc 800 down clock to run or would it just be better to but the pc-5300?

So in total then 2.4 is the max i can reach out of this kit yea? like the multiplyer cant be changed or anything to allow it to go faster no?

those tuniqs are HUGE!! :eek:

did you have to do any mods to it to get it to fit on the P5N-E? i.e. Did the NB HS get in the way?

no mods at al, but as i say it wouldnt fit the other way, clears the NB and will allow me room to fit my noctua NB cooler when it arrives

thanks mate but the one i have is the amd 3200 with the barton core, its not even 64bit so surely that sould be a good improvement on its own.

Just noticed matthew your cpuz is reading it as a E6400.

Is this a limitation of CPUZ?

Mine is on its way.

Still debating whether to swap it for a Quad Core

look at the spec is the same picture, picks up 6420 from the chip there

No - you see how it has 2 scroll-boxes? The upper one does CPU0, the lower one does CPU1.

The priority just lets you decide whether you want the machine to be useable or not while testing.

On Priority 1 it gives up CPU cycles to anything you want to do with it, but any free cycles are maxed out. On priority 9, you can sometimes barely get the mouse to move. It doesn't actually matter what priority level is set, the machine is always maxed out.
