Can anybody tell me what the new price of the E6600 will likely to be after the price drop later this month? If not an exact price an estimate/range would be useful, thanks! :)

As above really, E6600 isn't planned to drop in price.... however, I wouldn't be surprised if you saw a few quid drop off the price. (And I mean a few quid).

But I wouldn't hold your breath.

ok, thanks :)

Edit: actually, I found a link with the proposed price drops (http://www.techpowerup.com/img/07-05-15/Inte.jpg) and the Q6600 will be the same price as the current E6600, surely they would drop the E6600 to reflect the new Q6600 price? Otherwise I don't see why they would still be selling the E6600 at all as nobody would be buying it

Thats speculation at the moment. The Quad will most likely be in the £170 once you have added all the taxes on and the like.

Well the 6550 and the 6750 are coming out when the price drops hit, so I guess they will effectively replace the 6600.

I dont think anyone knows for sure how much things are going to be after the price drops, but that JPG you posted seems to be the main guide that most people are going by.

New chips phase out the old chips.

Just like what happened with the E6320 and E6300.

E6600 will be replaced by either E6550 or E6750 depending on pricing.

E6700 price spot taken up by the E6850 and Q6600.
