Intel Core Duo Yonah @ ocuk!

Can I just say that I have a Intel Core Duo T2500 (Socket 479) 2.00GHz (667FSB) - Retail (CP-125-IN) and they rock!

Stelly

yes you can :p

they do seem awesome, shame theres no such thing as an adaptor which lets them fit into a 775 board, so you could have it until conroe rather than having to buy a new mobo

yes but A-open have released the AOpen i975Xa-YDG for desktop use

With the removal of two jumpers, this AOpen motherboard does allow FSB speeds up to 1066 MHz FSB. Using this technique, we were able to overclock a Core Duo T2600 (2.16 GHz) to 2.9 GHz.

thats with the stock cooler, aftermarket 478 coolers fit on the board aswel

heres a good roundup

Conroe is just a few weeks away. I'd rather wait for that than buy Yonah.

I would do the same tbh, but I bought it about 6 months ago, and I'm still going to be a Conroe chip ;)

A little bit late, few moths ago would not of had a second thought but with conroe around the corner and with better results and overclocks i don't think these are worth it anymore, unless you have a motherboard than can take these already and don't want to upgrade to conroe then its the second best option.

Hi there

Yes we should have Conroe desktop processors available on the site within the next week or so. :)

The DFI 975X is already selling very well pre-order!

Wow, you're getting them in already? That's fantastic news. Now i'll know how much my new pc will come to, and how much I need to save.

He only said that they would be available to order next week.

Im betting they wont be drawn on a price till they can weight up how much stock is going to be available and how much demand there will be. I imagine demand will seriously outstrip supply, but im hoping that Intel have a stockpile ready to go :)
