Intel Core I7 11700Kf superceded ?

Did I hear recently that this processor had been superseded by another recently ?

If so what is the difference and is it the same socket ?. Looking to upgrade soon...

12 cores 20 threads ??..... brings back memories of Intels Celeron line of part working processors.

They all work, but the E cores don't have hyper-threading (8+8)+4.

Not much point upgrading from a 11700 though, you'd only notice the difference in something like blender.

If you wait about 7 or 8 months then that would be a better plan since the 13th Gen will probably be on the market and give a better upgrade you might notice day to day.
