So the 975 replaces 965. 950 replaces 940. 920 stays. That is why 920s were roled out in D0 stepping i guess and 940s and 965s were not. 975s and 950s will be D0 stepping. Also look at new 55xx series Xeons which are out now. They are all D0s. :O

About £800 for the 975 and £500+ for the 950.

That's quite a price hike over the 940 for the 950 just for d0 and an extra 133mhz stock speed.

Pricing looks to be the same as the 965ee for the 975 and the same as the 940 for the 950 give or take a couple of quid ;)

Interesting. I was looking at all the online retailers listing the 950 and the prices are way above the 940.

I'll wait and see what the final prices are.

Yeah, I think a 4Ghz 920 will do me for the foreseeable future! Nice to see that the pricing should be similar to the replaced models though, especially in the current economic climate.

im guessing £400 for the 950 and £1000 for the 975

although i was considering a 975
im now getting a 950

as the 23X multi [24X with turbo] will allow me to go to 5ghz+

Well I anticipated this which is why i put my 965 on ebay and just sold, so ill be getting the 975, so should probably change my signature....

Is that what you're going to build into the new case then? Looking forward to that build log if it is!;)

The £700 I7-965's OCUK have right now are a bargain especially as they run @ default with the same clocks as 975 @ 3.33GHz (with turbo mode enabled on 965). Pointless paying £300 more for a newer stepping + 133Mhz clock speed!!
