Summary:
  • X299 platform
  • Fits existing motherboards, providing they can deal with the power requirements
  • No warranty
  • No retail sales
  • Sold to OEMs via auction once per quarter
I am not sure who is going to end up with one of these. I guess if you require both first-class single core performance and tonnes of cores at any cost, and also are fine with buying an OEM machine. I was joking before about Intel running out of numbers but now there's only one left. :D

Intel's Core architecture IPC hasn't changed since 2015 and hasn't changed much since 2013. It wouldn't randomly change on a no-warranty, no-retail chip.
