Intel demonstrates 65W Broadwell-K at GDC

As long as Broadwell can match or beat 4790K, and run cooler I will switch, get some of the heat out of Mini ITX. Got my 4770K under a Kuhler 920 which has drastically lowered temps but it still runs to hot for my liking.

Roll on 5770K !!

Which applications do you run when getting high temperatures?

For games alone, all the 4790k systems I built run quite cool, even those where the customer only wanted the default hsf (65dc max temperature in a 2 hour bf4 session for example).

Temps across the board are to high for my liking. If I bench the chip it would touch 100c @ stock on the last cooler. Now It will spike to high 80c's even under water (AIO).

These just run damned hot, a die shrink will be very welcome :D

I assume your talking about overclocked temperatures, at higher voltages?

At stock, the 4790k will not reach 100dc even on the stock hsf.
