Intel Drivers - installation issues

Hi guys,

I've got a couple of installation issues with my Intel drivers.

I think I might have cured the first one, it was a BT driver for my main rig, spec in sig. Auto update, through the Intel Assist tool wasn't working but I think I've sorted that by disabling my net connection and uninstalling my current driver and installing the current one (downloaded before disabling my ethernet connection). I haven't restarted yet but the driver version looks good.

The second issue affects the graphics driver on my Plex box, a SSF 8th gen., Dell Optiplex. Auto update doesn't work, see picture below.

Manually downloading the .exe go through all the right motions but I think the installer freezes and when you restart the previous installation remains.

I have issues with AMD auto-updating drivers as well, but that's another thread altogether

Any suggestions?

Do you currently have the Dell version of the driver installed? If so uninstall that first and then retry? Have to admit for my Dell boxes I always use Dells driver update tool rather than intels.

I think I'd removed everything at one point and just tried to start from fresh... Dell haven't got a re-badged version on the driver on their portal yet, might be a while as it's an older box. That said most of the drivers are universal on there aren't they?

With dGPUs: yes. IGP: not necessarily.

If still having issues, could try the DDU tool and then try and reinstall.
