You need a good heatsink, that's the main factor.

Do not buy a Arctic Cooling Freezer 7/64 Pro, they really are total ****[Please star out swearies]

Why is it no good?

Im running my E6300 at 3.15 Ghz with an AC F7 pro and my temps dont go above 43 C, even with my rubbish case and high system temps.

For the money I dont think it can be beaten, sure other £40 coolers might shave a few degrees off but unless your really going hardcore OC save yourself some money.

I think yours was dodgy. I'm running 7 and they're fine. I've only ever had problems with them after I've attempted to send them by post after I've used them.

I don't know why, but once they have been used, they don't like being bashed about in the post (other folks agree they have had similar issues). All the ones I have used myself have all been purchased new, directly from stores and brought back in the car where I know they've not been messed with. Like that there doesn't seem to be a problem. I have been asked to look at 4 or 5 people's PCs recently and not one had the S775 cooler fitted properly. Mainly they had been forced on and the second click-stop hadn't been made cleanly. I really don't think a lot of users read the instructions and I think many of the problems are due to kit not being fitted properly.

I don't think that was your problem, Big.Wayne, and you're obviously very happy with your Ultra-120, however I don't think that you're helping anything by trashing the AC Freezer 7 Pro based on your bad experience of 1 (potentially duff) cooler.
