I've been trying to OC my 1066 Mhz DDR2 Kingston RAM for ages now and it's still running underclocked at 800 Mhz.
Im running a 400 fsb OC, pushing the 8200 DC to 3.2 ghz on stock volatges on an Maximus Formula X38 mobo.
My fsb strap is 400 Mhz so it's a 1:1 ratio between RAM and fsb.
Tried to change voltages from 1.9 to 2.2 (max safe V), nothing.
Every time i try to push RAM to 900 or 1066 mhz, i get a blank screen with all my fans running on max and fail to boot even to BIOS screen.
Tried to mess with stepping also fail, tightening them even at 800 Mhz that's safe to boot causes failage and blank screen...
Any suggestions?
*update - i've used AI Suite Overclocking tool to push the CPU to 3.6 Ghz and simultaneously RAM to 900Mhz (which is still far off 1066 Mhz), but that's it. It wont overclock a Hz above that. Weirdly though, i cant OC in BIOS above 400 mhz fsb (3.2 Ghz Cpu)...
