Intel GM965 Custom Resolutions

Afternoon All,

Bought a cheap HP Santa Rosa laptop with an Intel GM965 integrated graphics (I did say never again but the laptop was too cheap to turn down).

I'm trying to hook it up to my 32" TV with a resolution of 1366x768 but Intels drivers are rubbish and only allow a few standard resolutions. I have tried a few methods but no success yet:

1) Tried Powerstrip but it does not seem to support Intel chips.
2) Tried this but to be honest I don't really understand it.
3) I also read something about Intel TV Wizard on a few sites, there is even a hotkey for it in the Intel display settings but when I try the shortcut it doesn't come up which leaves me to believe that its not on my laptop and Intel just left the shortcut there to annoy me. However, I have read that it does come with 965 drivers so I have no idea why it did not come with HP's drivers.
4) The display driver I installed was from the HP website. Tried the ones on the Intel website in the hope of getting Intel TV Wizard but it says that its the wrong driver and exits, even though I know its the right driver.

So my question is how I can force the rubbish intel graphics driver to display the resolution I want. So far I have it on 1280x768 and I've got black bands at the top and bottom.

Thanks for reading.
