£800, a bit more is fine

As long as it looks good and is reliable, im happy.

5) Would you consider laptops that are refurbished/redistributed?
No. I want to buy new.

6) What are the primary tasks will you be performing with this notebook?
gaming and general use

7) Will you be taking the notebook with you to different places, leaving it on your desk or both?
Yes. Most of the time it will be at desk but will be carrying it about 10-15% of times. Im strong so mass isn’t an issue 

8) Will you be playing games on your notebook? If so, please state which games or types of games?
Yes, I will be playing games.
Assassins creed2, left4dead2, splinter cell convictio (really any new games that come out, of course I don’t expect to play them on ultra details)

9) How many hours of battery life do you need?
gonna be on charge most of the time, at least an hour is fine.

10) Would you prefer to see the notebooks you're considering before purchasing it or buying a notebook on-line without seeing it is OK?
Yes, if it is possible to see the notebook in person that'll be great, but I don’t mind buying it online

11) What OS do you prefer? Windows (XP or Vista or Windows 7), Mac OS, Linux, etc.
Windows 7 is fine. I use Windows as my primary OS.

Build Quality and Design

14) Are the notebook's looks and stylishness important to you?
it needs to look good, the dell xps 16 doesn’t look good to me but it has decent functions

15) When are you buying this laptop and how long do you want this laptop to last?
Ready to buy... maybe today? I want this laptop to last me 5 years.

Notebook Components

16) How much hard drive space do you need; 80GB to 640GB? Do you want a SSD drive?
Doesn't really matter. The current notebooks come with enough disk space. Do not need SSD but if it's available in my budget then why not.

17) Do you need an optical drive? If yes, a CDRW/DVD-ROM, DVD Burner or Blu-Ray drive?
Need DVD burner. If Blu-Ray is available in my budget... sure.
 
Have a look at some of the Sony laptops, they are giving free Blu-Ray writer on some models.
