Hello I am new to overclocking I am looking to overclock my Intel Core i3 540 3.06GHz I have a Asrock H55m Motherboard and 4gb of Corsair ddr3 1333mhz memory now I am looking at getting a Coolermaster v8 cpu cooler also I am looking at upgrading my memory to Corsair vengeance ddr3 1600mhz memory can anyone help me and what thermal paste should I get for my new cpu cooler?

MX-3 for thermal compound, great performance for a good price.

BTW the memory you have atm won't stop you oerclocking the CPU, easily should manage 4Ghz
